I just attended a fabulous Quiltster Zoom Class with Kathy of BobKat Quilts. I had no idea how much you can do with Quiltster. It was a full 4 hour class with hands on training.
Kathy explained the software so clearly. I had just signed up for Quiltster and had not used it before. I like the zoom format because now I can go back to the recording and review at my own pace. I am looking forward to coloring some quilts!

Kathy Groves did an exceptional job teaching me how to do paper piecing. Kathy broke down the process so i could understand the steps, was incredibly patient during the workshop, plus she offered videos of the process. I’ve been visiting my family since the workshop and am looking forward to finishing my poinsettia table topper when I get home. I had tried this twice process before and never finished my project because I was intimidated by the process and couldn’t remember any of the steps. The only suggestion I have is to add a powerpoint with the steps of the process to the lecture. Only four slides are needed. Show all the pieces cut out. Show organizing into bags. Show lining the pieces up, then show steps on the bookmark. You explained it all in the class so well, but as a novice i would have liked to see the method as part of the lecture.

We were provided with instructions on cutting out fabric to prepare samples of the blocks and techniques that were going to be demonstrated in the upcoming that class. We were also were encouraged to message any problems we were having or questions. Her responses were always timely and offered suggestions. We all proudly displayed our finished blocks for that session. We also were provided with additional resources.
I have been quilting for a few years but still referred to myself as a beginner. After this class I can walk through that door!
I can now do partial seams, flying geese, prairie points, a true 1/4 inch seam, and curves. Plus so much more.
I highly recommend this class.
