Quiltster – Quiltworx Design Software – a Zoom Class

Do you love making Quiltworx quilts — but are overwhelmed at the thought of designing your own? Getting a headache trying to imagine how it might look if you swap this color or that color and then understanding how to integrate your choices with your pattern? Calculating how much fabric to buy! It’s totally overwhelming!!!
Let’s change that!
Join me in this 3 hour Zoom Class where you will learn how to choose your pattern, add your own fabrics or choose from Judy’s palettes, place your colors into your quilt, print the necessary documentation or even use the Marketplace to buy your fabrics and design YOUR quilt! QUILTSTER is an amazing tool and you’ll have fun designing your quilts and realizing how easy it can be to point-and-click your way to your own personal Quiltworx Quilt! From standard Quiltworx patterns to creating your own MIXER — you’ll be ready to play (and play and play some more) on Quiltster. You do NOT need to be a highly-skilled computer user — the software is very user friendly and you’ll be a pro in no time at all.
You can join the class and just watch — but I strongly encourage you to register for Quiltster for yourself so you can work in your own account. Sign up for just 1 month to get you started and to be able to follow along in class “hands on…” – the best way to learn. You can choose to continue your subscription having fun playing with Quiltster Color and Quilt design. Love it? You can save $$ by purchasing their annual subscription ( Note: to have access to the cloud-based Quiltster program, you need to subscribe directly with Quiltworx / Quiltster. Again it’s a month to month subscription, you can drop any time, with a discount for a year long subscription. https://www.quiltster.com/subscribe )
Quiltster is cloud based and you can participate on your computer, tablet or phone. For class, you may want to consider using 2 devices — one for Zoom to see what I’m doing and hear what I’m saying — and the larger screened device with Quiltster so you can work at full screen capacity. If you are using a computer — you may want a good old-fashioned mouse to make placing your fabrics a little easier — not necessary – but helpful. Chrome is the preferred browser — so if you are on a tablet with Safari as your sole browser — you may want to install Chrome. It is free.
I look forward to seeing you in class as we ZOOM our way into our own CUSTOM “Judy” quilts.
NOTE: The Coral Reef Quilt will NOT be available in Quiltster until the pattern is released in early 2021. But you can learn how to use Quiltster now so you can be ready when it comes online!!!

I took Kathy’s online class – She was AMAZING!

I took her online class and she was amazing! Everything I needed was listed in the preclass materials. Getting a front row seat (via Zoom) was great as was the ability to ask questions as we went along.
Your help was greatly appreciated!

Your help was greatly appreciated. Being a beginner paper piecer, you did a great job in helping me understand the steps.
Table Topper Finished! – King size planned!

I finally found all the pieces that were packed away when the hurricane tore the roof off of the sewing room. It got very wet and had a little color bleed- but, that’ll be part of the memory! Once the building rebuild is completed, (slow going due to COVID and wide spread damages supply and demand) I plan to make the king size quilt in same pattern.
Thank you Kathryn Eifert Groves of BobKat Quilts for the ZOOM class!! I didn’t have the knowledge until your class!!
