I just attended a fabulous Quiltster Zoom Class with Kathy of BobKat Quilts. I had no idea how much you can do with Quiltster. It was a full 4 hour class with hands on training.
Kathy explained the software so clearly. I had just signed up for Quiltster and had not used it before. I like the zoom format because now I can go back to the recording and review at my own pace. I am looking forward to coloring some quilts!
If you want to learn more about Quiltster, I highly recommend this class!

Can’t say enough about how fun, laid back, and informational this retreat has been! I can’t truly say I’m “bummed” about missing her next one because I’m going to Quiltworx (!!!) in October, but if it weren’t for that I’d be doing everything I could to be here. What a relief it was to have Judy recommend Kathy Groves’ Bali Wedding star quilt class. I have been quilting since 2016 and have taken one other Judy N class. I just love Kathy’s classes as she is well organized and teaches to each participant’s skill level. Although I was working on a King size wedding quilt instead of the table topper, Kathy took the extra time to walk me through the process, double check my piecing and cutting math and generally just give me the support I needed to finish this quilt. I will definitely be taking another class with her. The advantage of zoom classes is being able to see her work close up and clearly, which is something I always missed with in person classes. Hopefully soon we will be able to have in person classes and I look forward to meeting her in person. She is just outstanding.

I really like your hybrid teaching concept with great in-person instruction, supplemented with videos shared before and available for review after the retreat. I think that is more of the way the future will look. Many traditional quilters like the in-person sessions, and I understand that. But those of us with jobs and kids and other responsibilities cannot afford to be away for long periods of time. While this was a table topper class, I did purchase a queen size pattern, so it was worth going thru the class versus doing something from videos only.

I purchased a Dinner Plate Dahlia quilt kit awhile back and I realized had no idea how to make that quilt. Then I found Kathy’s zoom class. I was so glad I took her class. She’s an excellent instructor. Very patient and does her best to make sure all students are following along. She’s very responsive to questions. The zoom platform is really much better than an in person class. It’s very easy to follow the instructor and see exactly what she’s doing unlike an in person class where your vision is obstructed by others. I plan on taking the Coral Reef class once I finish my DPD. Thanks Kathy for offering great classes!
