Quiltworx Wedding Quilts in Shipshewana – April 2026

Don’t miss your opportunity to visit Shipshewana in Spring 2026 to work on  your Quiltworx Wedding Ring or Wedding Star Quilt!  With a number of patterns to choose from – I’m certain that one is perfect for you!  Almost all quilt makers have making a “Wedding Ring” quilt on their bucket list – and I guarantee that the foundation paper piecing technique is the way to go!  (I did one the old fashioned way – so  I speak from experience!  Paper piecing makes the sewing perfectly do-able for quiltmakers of all skill levels. The Wedding Rings and Stars patterns will be our featured patterns, but as always, you are also welcome to bring any pattern you wish to sew!

We’ll be retreating from Tuesday, April 14 (start sewing at 10:00 AM) and we will sew until Sunday afternoon (4:00 PM).  THAT IS 6 FULL DAYS OF SEWING!!!   Start early or sew late… or both!

Located in northeastern Indiana – it is the heart of Indiana Amish country.  Within walking distance from the sewing room, a visit to Yoder Department Store, The Cotton Corner, will give you THOUSANDS of bolts of fabrics to choose from.  Just a little further away –  Lolly’s,  Essenhaus Quilt Shop, Caroline’s, Zincks, Fabric Utopia and more!  And don’t forget your stop at JoJo’s Pretzels or Ben’s Pretzels!  Yummy is the word of the day!

Based upon the pattern you plan to work on – I’ll provide you access to the Zoom Series for that pattern.  You can get started early or wait until the retreat to get going. If you choose one of the featured patterns the full Zoom video series for your pattern is included with your retreat registration!  Videos for other patterns you wish to work on will be based upon availability – but I have dozens of patterns ready and waiting for you.  You could pay as much as $300 for one of the Zoom series alone!

The Zoom series for the featured patterns are available independently as well if you are unable to attend the  retreat.  I  can also help you custom design your own colorway using Quiltster if you want your own unique quilt.  Or join me and learn how to use Quiltster to design your own!

Reserve your hotel rooms independently at The Farmstead Inn (request rooms in the west wing) or plan to stay at the nearby campground or check out some of the nearby VRBO / B&B options.  There are other hotels a little less pricey you may want to check out.  You do NOT need to stay at the host hotel to participate in the Retreat.  Guests at the hotel will have breakfast included in their hotel stay – but no other meals are provided.
