About the Retreat
You’ll be able to set up your machine and start sewing mid -morning Tuesday, May 4, 2027, and you can sew each day through Saturday afternoon, May 8. We’ll make the sewing room available 7 am until 11 pm, Wed through Friday.  We’ll wrap up by 4pm on Saturday. Each quilter will have at least a five foot table and plenty of elbow room. This is an “all-inclusive” retreat. Instruction, great work space, meals and lodging are included in your registration. We’ll provide continental breakfast and catered lunch and dinner each day.  Your accommodations include your choice of single queen or double queen bedrooms. More about our venue below.
In order to give you the most flexibility, your registration does NOT include the Arcadia pattern, or any fabric. We’ll be happy to provide you with a pattern and any extensions at a discount.  We will help you design your own colorway on Quiltster and you can source your fabrics on your own or we can provide you with a great fabric kit. Stay tuned for more details!  Fabric strip cuts and trimming of foundation papers are available for an additional charge. Of course you’re welcome to bring your own pattern and fabrics sourced elsewhere.  If you want to work on another pattern, including other Technique-of-the-Month patterns with Certified Instructors at hand, you’re welcome to do that too! For those who have paid their registration, kits and patterns in full, we will ship your purchased items as soon as they are available to us. (In the past this has been in mid to late January).
Bonus – Instructional Videos!Â
Because Kathy is teaching Arcadia on Zoom beginning on January 23, 2027, we’ll make those videos available to paid-in-full, registered retreat quilters at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! This is a $300 value! There will be 6 recorded class sessions, – plus Kathy has recently “flipped” her teaching to include scores of shorter, unit and technique videos, released between Zoom classes.  A recent queen size quilt class included more than 50 hours of recorded demos and technique instruction – with overhead views and sewing machine views that put you up close – in the driver’s seat, not three rows deep looking over the shoulders of others in a crowded classroom. So you get the best of both worlds: Videos to watch at your convenience, in your sewing room, and a great personal instruction and experience from Certified Instructors at your elbow in a relaxed, distraction-free retreat environment.
