The nice thing about the recorded classes is the ability to re-watch tricky areas of the sewing. It really gave me the confidence to venture ahead outside of class. What a relief it was to have Judy recommend Kathy Groves’ Bali Wedding star quilt class. I have been quilting since 2016 and have taken one other Judy N class. I just love Kathy’s classes as she is well organized and teaches to each participant’s skill level. Although I was working on a King size wedding quilt instead of the table topper, Kathy took the extra time to walk me through the process, double check my piecing and cutting math and generally just give me the support I needed to finish this quilt. I will definitely be taking another class with her. The advantage of zoom classes is being able to see her work close up and clearly, which is something I always missed with in person classes. Hopefully soon we will be able to have in person classes and I look forward to meeting her in person. She is just outstanding.

She gave some very helpful tips to make our quilts beautiful, as well as helping me to color it on Quiltworx. Kathy sent an instructional video – Quiltworx 101 – prior to the workshop. It was a great preview of how to read and use the Quiltworx patterns. It would have been helpful to get the video farther in advance.

Bali Star Wedding Ring table topper – Finished!
I finally found all the pieces that were packed away when the hurricane tore the roof off of the sewing room. It got very wet and had a little color bleed- but, that’ll be part of the memory! Once the building rebuild is completed, (slow going due to COVID and wide spread damages supply and demand) I plan to make the king size quilt in same pattern.

Awesome teacher… No Travel Required!
