Your Presentation Change my Mind!

I’m signing up for the Autumn Poinsettia Zoom class!
Your Classes are Fabulous!

I thoroughly researched many educators offering classes for the Quiltworx Jungle Magnolia and BobKat Quilts was the best fit for me! Your classes are FABULOUS! I’m so glad that I found you!
Thank you for all your help! Not such a huge Mountain!

Kathy was great at taking it in segments and working through the process to make it not seem like such a huge mountain to climb. She incorporates some of her own ideas/techniques that make the process even easier.
You won’t regret taking a class with her!

Goodnight Star by Quiltworx – Zoom Class Series

The Goodnight Star layout includes foundation papers to make (24) 16″ quarter lone star blocks for a quilt that finishes at 96″ x 96″.
It is a good introduction to Quiltworx patterns as it is basically a one-block quilt — and you’ll learn Judy’s Strip Piecing Technique for Lone Stars — a component in many of her quilts. In addition, you’ll learn many other Quiltworx techniques — from using the newsprint papers in your pattern, reading her instructions, organizing and cutting your fabrics to name a few. Quiltworx Stripsets will work beautifully for this quilt — but for Goodnight Star — each diamond will require one more fabric — suggested is a DARK blender of each colorway from your strip set. (I have lots of strip sets available — check them out!)
Looking for a smaller project — the StarBaby pattern is a great option to learn the techniques without the same investment in time, fabric and money. You’ll learn almost all of the same techniques — but in a fun baby, table or wall sized project.
Classes are taught live but recorded for your convenience. If Tuesdays aren’t good for you — then watch the recording in the evening or on the weekends. Either way — I’m available to you from registration through your last stitch – whether it is soon after the class concludes or months (and months) down the road.
Class dates: (all live classes begin at 10:00 AM Central Time)

Quiltworx 101 – pre-recorded introduction to Quiltworx Patterns / Projects – on your own
Intro Session: – January 10 – learn all about the project(s) — from the pattern details, papers and fabrics required.
Prep & Fabric Cutting Session — pre-recorded so you can access as you are preparing your papers and fabrics
Session #2: January 24 — we will orgainze our Lone Star Fabrics and then start Phase 1 of the sewing of these
Session #3: February 14 — Phase 2 of the Lone Star Diamond Blocks — putting your Diamond Strip Sets back together again
Session #4: February 28 — Assemblying your quilt top!
This quilt goes together so quickly you’ll want to make 2! For those doing StarBaby — You’ll attend the same sessions — but will have much less sewing between classes. Once you have learned this technique — dozens of Quiltworx quilt patterns are ready and waiting for you including: Zen Garden, Prismatic Star, Rainbow Crystal, Tattered Star, Sparkle and many more! And this is a fundamental component of many other quilts. So join me and put another Quiltworx Technique in your Quilting Tool Box!
