Description
Do you want to take a Quiltworx pattern and truly make it your own? Put your fabrics, your colors where you want them in your quilt? Compare alternatives?
Do you want to know how much of each fabric you will need before you start shopping?
Have you ever bought a kit then struggled to translate your stack of fabrics into the Fabric ID’s in your pattern? Some of today’s most impressive Quiltworx patterns require the correct placement of 40 or more fabrics!
You can do all of these things yourself with Quiltster, the subscription design tool for Quiltworx patterns. I even offer an on-demand course to learn to do this yourself. If you want to use a computer or iPad frequently to plan your Quiltworx quilts, I encourage you to take that route. This is an alternative, where I use my knowledge of the patterns and Quiltster to produce a one-time result for you. In my experience, this is a 3 to 4 hour process of my time to get a great result for you.
Here’s the Process
After I receive your order for this service, I will reach out to you for some preferences. Do you have starting point pic? Color and shade preferences? Favorite fabric lines or designers? We’ll schedule our one-on-one follow-up Zoom meeting. Then I’ll go to work and create up to three alternatives for your review. During our hour-long Zoom meeting we will work together online to make the tweaks to finalize your design!
When we’re done you’ll receive a PDF of your final design including a full-page color picture and detailed reports summarizing 1) the Name and quantity needed of each fabric 2) a summary showing how each fabric should be cut into the strips and labeled with fabric IDs to tie into your quilt design, 3) a summary by sewing groups which will help you bag your fabrics for final unit cutting and sewing. This information will be shared in web link that you can share with others including your favorite fabric store.
Note: If you’re preparing for an upcoming BobKat Quilt Class, please schedule this consultation at least three weeks before the first class to allow plenty of time to assemble and receive your fabric order from your preferred store.
