Quiltworx patterns are more than a little overwhelming when you first read the instructions. I was a little nervous thinking of tackling one on my own and came across your ZOOM class. You are a very good teacher… kind and patient. There are some areas of the Quiltworx instructions that are not as clear as I would have liked them to be (adding the veins, is one example.) Your class added the extra know-how for a successful project. Thank You!

Never shy of a quilting challenge, I purchased a kit and began working on my first Judy Niemeyer quilt, Dinner Plate Dahlia. Everything went smoothly except for one small unit mid-pattern that I could not get my head around. While looking for help online, I discovered Kathy’s website and realized that she had pieced the cover photo for the Quiltworx pattern. I contacted Kathy and she responded quickly, setting me straight with just a few email messages. I am forever grateful for Kathy’s kindness and clear direction, and look forward to taking one of her online classes soon.

Kathy, your trunk show and presentation of your work was stunning. You have given me the ambition to try tackling these stunning patterns. All I can say, if you have the chance to see Kathy’s trunk show- you must! Her personality shines through and is only embellished by her quilting talent. And if you have the opportunity to take one of her classes, I’m sure you will leave not only with the skills to tackle these stunning patterns but the enthusiasm to finish the quilt.

I have special needs children and really needed a 2-day respite, but the pace was faster than I expected, so I didn’t get much rest! The videos you shared ahead of the retreat were a life-saver! However, with that said, I did enjoy my time at the retreat. I appreciate how you were able to attend to everyone in the place they were as we got going. You were thorough in your explanations, which was great. And you shared some invaluable tips and tricks to surviving a “Judy project”. Meredith the other instructor from Yoder’s Department Store was a strong, stable persona in the room the entire time and that helped as well! I enjoyed getting to know you and the ladies in the group, which is rare for me as an extreme introvert! Thank you for the experience!
