Hi,
Just wanted to post a little note. I am very new to sewing and especially quilting. My friend, who lives in Indiana, asked me if I wanted to take a quilting class with her. So I did. Kathy was beyond fantastic. She is a true instructor who understands how not to overwhelm students who are trying to learn a new skill set. It was super fun, relaxing and I learned a lot. There were some very experienced quilters in the class who also learned a lot. I’ve already decided that I’m going to Shipshewana again next year (2025)!

Kathy was beyond fantastic. She is a true instructor who understands how not to overwhelm students who are trying to learn a new skill set. It was super fun, relaxing and I learned a lot. There were some very experienced quilters in the class who also learned a lot. I’ve already decided that I’m going to Shipshewana again next year (2025)!

Kathy is a great instructor with lots of patience, I really appreciate her availability in between classes for help! (We “faced-timed” to troubleshoot when I got stuck!) She always had a fix when I messed up.

I was all cut out for Friday’s class and it was because your video on cutting was PERFECT. For me, it was just the right mix of show and teachI can’t wait til next class. Quiltster is a phenomenal tool.. and you made it even more useful for me in understanding the “sync” button and swapping out all fabrics from the print/fabric screen.
I wanted to let you know your approach to virtual teaching is total complete and truly well put together for your students success. Your use of PowerPoints and PDF electronic handouts all kept handy and accessible in an online folder add tremendous value to your classes.
Quiltster is a phenomenal tool.. and you made it even more useful for me in understanding the “sync” button and swapping out all fabrics from the print/fabric screen.

For the first time in over 9 years I finally know what to do and how to read Quiltworx pattterns! I owe it all to Kathy Groves and her BobKat Quilts zoom classes. I love the fact that if I didn’t understand all the instructions the first time around I can always review the recorded zoom class. Kathy is an amazing instructor I hope to take many more zoom classes from her. KATHY PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON’T EVER STOP ZOOMING!!!
