We recently had our quilt guild show. My Carnival Flower took Second Place and Viewer’s Choice!
If it hadn’t been for the class I took with you, I wouldn’t have finished it nor would it have turned out as good as it did! There were so many little tips and tricks I picked up from your class that I feel made all the difference when it came to some of the trickier elements. I made sure to tell anyone who asked I took a class with you and that it was awesome ! 🙂

Can’t say enough about how fun, laid back, and informational this retreat has been! I can’t truly say I’m “bummed” about missing her next one because I’m going to Quiltworx (!!!) in October, but if it weren’t for that I’d be doing everything I could to be here. Kathy Groves did an exceptional job teaching me how to do paper piecing. Kathy broke down the process so i could understand the steps, was incredibly patient during the workshop, plus she offered videos of the process. I’ve been visiting my family since the workshop and am looking forward to finishing my poinsettia table topper when I get home. I had tried this twice process before and never finished my project because I was intimidated by the process and couldn’t remember any of the steps. The only suggestion I have is to add a powerpoint with the steps of the process to the lecture. Only four slides are needed. Show all the pieces cut out. Show organizing into bags. Show lining the pieces up, then show steps on the bookmark. You explained it all in the class so well, but as a novice i would have liked to see the method as part of the lecture.

I’m in Kathy’s Dinner Plate Dahlia Zoom class. I just signed up for the upcoming (March 2021) Coral Reef Zoom class as well! She’s a fantastic teacher. Clear and concise instructions and very helpful and patient.
