Kathy is a great instructor with lots of patience, I really appreciate her availability in between classes for help! (We “faced-timed” to troubleshoot when I got stuck!) She always had a fix when I messed up.

I have done a little paper piecing in the past and enjoyed it, but have learned so much from Kathy that future endeavors will be so much better! I love the fact that the classes were recorded enabling me to watch them after the fact when life got in the way. I can not recommend Kathy’s classes more highly!!!.

Just wanted to post a little note. I am very new to sewing and especially quilting. My friend, who lives in Indiana, asked me if I wanted to take a quilting class with her. So I did. Kathy was beyond fantastic. She is a true instructor who understands how not to overwhelm students who are trying to learn a new skill set. It was super fun, relaxing and I learned a lot. There were some very experienced quilters in the class who also learned a lot. I’ve already decided that I’m going to Shipshewana again next year (2025)!

With your explanations and videos, I learned how to read, divide, and assemble a Quiltworx pattern. Thanks for that!
What I really appreciated about the videos was the clear structure, your personal explanations and countless tips and tricks. Even when something went wrong, you guided us through it… what a huge help.

Now I have to start quilting!
