This was a great experience. I would never have had the nerve to try this on my own. When I first opened the pattern I almost said no way. The only thing that kept me from backing out was knowing we had a certified teacher. The best part for me was being able to watch the videos multiple times to be able to figure out what to do. As the point person for this group training, I can’t thank Kathy enough for all of the back and forth emails answering all of my questions.

I am really glad that I got an opportunity to take the Summer Solstice class with Kathy. I have always admired Judy Niemeyer designs but got discouraged when I saw how many pages there were to the instructions for a single quilt.
Kathy was great at taking it in segments and working through the process to make it not seem like such a huge mountain to climb. She incorporates some of her own ideas/techniques that make the process even easier.
You won’t regret taking a class with her!

I purchased a Dinner Plate Dahlia quilt kit awhile back and I realized had no idea how to make that quilt. Then I found Kathy’s zoom class. I was so glad I took her class. She’s an excellent instructor. Very patient and does her best to make sure all students are following along. She’s very responsive to questions. The zoom platform is really much better than an in person class. It’s very easy to follow the instructor and see exactly what she’s doing unlike an in person class where your vision is obstructed by others. I plan on taking the Coral Reef class once I finish my DPD. Thanks Kathy for offering great classes!

You’ve taken the time to carefully put together and label everything I will need to complete this project along with some very helpful tips about applique and final placement onto the background. I loved taking this class with Kathy. Having the ability to go back over the videos when I got stuck made it totally worth while. She shared so much information I was overwhelmed by the value from this class! Not just the three class sessions, but additional videos on specific skills and the PowerPoint slides — it was well worth the cost. I love her down to earth folksy names for various things like “the fluffy side” , “feet in the aisle”, “smiles and frowns”. Having the three class dates over six weeks was the perfect pace for me. It gave me enough time to keep going and I was able to complete the top two days after the last class. I will definitely be taking more of Kathy’s classes in the future!

Your Classes are Fabulous!
I thoroughly researched many educators offering classes for the Quiltworx Jungle Magnolia and BobKat Quilts was the best fit for me! Your classes are FABULOUS! I’m so glad that I found you!
