Applique the Quiltworx Way Class
I took the class to learn a applique technique that did not utilize fusible. I did not expect to learn how to use tools in new innovation ways. This was a WONDERFUL class. Well worth the price!!

Hi,
Just wanted to post a little note. I am very new to sewing and especially quilting. My friend, who lives in Indiana, asked me if I wanted to take a quilting class with her. So I did. Kathy was beyond fantastic. She is a true instructor who understands how not to overwhelm students who are trying to learn a new skill set. It was super fun, relaxing and I learned a lot. There were some very experienced quilters in the class who also learned a lot. Going again next year (2024) to Shipshewana! Thanks for a fun week.

I loved taking this class with Kathy. Having the ability to go back over the videos when I got stuck made it totally worth while. She shared so much information I was overwhelmed by the value from this class! Not just the three class sessions, but additional videos on specific skills and the PowerPoint slides — it was well worth the cost. I love her down to earth folksy names for various things like “the fluffy side” , “feet in the aisle”, “smiles and frowns”. Having the three class dates over six weeks was the perfect pace for me. It gave me enough time to keep going and I was able to complete the top two days after the last class. I will definitely be taking more of Kathy’s classes in the future!

I LOVE your class! I have never enjoyed “doing a Judy” SO much! I wanted to tell you that the way you teach is fantastic. I was all cut out for Friday’s class and it was because your video on cutting was PERFECT. For me, it was just the right mix of show and teachI can’t wait til next class. Kathy, your trunk show and presentation of your work was stunning. You have given me the ambition to try tackling these stunning patterns. All I can say, if you have the chance to see Kathy’s trunk show- you must! Her personality shines through and is only embellished by her quilting talent. And if you have the opportunity to take one of her classes, I’m sure you will leave not only with the skills to tackle these stunning patterns but the enthusiasm to finish the quilt.
