For the first time in over 9 years I finally know what to do and how to read Quiltworx pattterns! I owe it all to Kathy Groves and her BobKat Quilts zoom classes. I love the fact that if I didn’t understand all the instructions the first time around I can always review the recorded zoom class. Never shy of a quilting challenge, I purchased a kit and began working on my first Judy Niemeyer quilt, Dinner Plate Dahlia. Everything went smoothly except for one small unit mid-pattern that I could not get my head around. While looking for help online, I discovered Kathy’s website and realized that she had pieced the cover photo for the Quiltworx pattern. I contacted Kathy and she responded quickly, setting me straight with just a few email messages. I am forever grateful for Kathy’s kindness and clear direction, and look forward to taking one of her online classes soon.

I really like your hybrid teaching concept with great in-person instruction, supplemented with videos shared before and available for review after the retreat. I think that is more of the way the future will look. Many traditional quilters like the in-person sessions, and I understand that. But those of us with jobs and kids and other responsibilities cannot afford to be away for long periods of time. While this was a table topper class, I did purchase a queen size pattern, so it was worth going thru the class versus doing something from videos only.

Awesome teacher… No Travel Required!
I very much appreciated this class. It is so nice not to have to travel anywhere for instruction. Kathy is very knowledgeable . She is willing to take the time to help you . I highly recommend taking her class.
