I am really glad that I got an opportunity to take the Summer Solstice class with Kathy. I have always admired Judy Niemeyer designs but got discouraged when I saw how many pages there were to the instructions for a single quilt.
Kathy was great at taking it in segments and working through the process to make it not seem like such a huge mountain to climb. She incorporates some of her own ideas/techniques that make the process even easier.
You won’t regret taking a class with her!

I took Kathy’s online class – She was AMAZING!
I took her online class and she was amazing! Everything I needed was listed in the preclass materials. Getting a front row seat (via Zoom) was great as was the ability to ask questions as we went along.

Can’t say enough about how fun, laid back, and informational this retreat has been! I can’t truly say I’m “bummed” about missing her next one because I’m going to Quiltworx (!!!) in October, but if it weren’t for that I’d be doing everything I could to be here. I had a wonderful time learning how to paper-piece the Quiltworx “Seasonal Table Runner”. Kathy is a seasoned instructor and well versed in the Quiltworx philosophy. She presented many additional tips and tricks of the trade that ensure your ability to remember and persevere on your own after the class. Topics covered in addition to paper piecing: curved piecing, use of glue sticks, design considerations, learning aids, etc. Definitely an instructor for anyone who is a beginner or has had difficulty with paper piecing in the past.

I was nervous
I was nervous before I started the Fractured Star quilt class. Kathy made made it easy! I loved the step by step instructions. Maybe the Vintage Rose is next!
