She gave some very helpful tips to make our quilts beautiful, as well as helping me to color it on Quiltworx. Kathy sent an instructional video – Quiltworx 101 – prior to the workshop. It was a great preview of how to read and use the Quiltworx patterns. It would have been helpful to get the video farther in advance.

I was thrilled when I found this class for the Twinkle Star. I wanted to be introduced to Judy Niemeyer paper piecing and this was the perfect way to do it. I thought I was going to have to do it on my own, purchased a Twinkle Star quilt kit over a year ago and hadn’t gotten to it. I will hopefully have time in the future to take more classes! Class will meet at Honey Bee Quilt Store in Austin, TX. There are two in-store class sessions as well as video lessons to prepare before class and to assist after class in guaranteeing you finish your quilt!

I love the fact that if I didn’t understand all the instructions the first time around I can always review the recorded zoom class. I purchased a Dinner Plate Dahlia quilt kit awhile back and I realized had no idea how to make that quilt. Then I found Kathy’s zoom class. I was so glad I took her class. She’s an excellent instructor. Very patient and does her best to make sure all students are following along. She’s very responsive to questions. The zoom platform is really much better than an in person class. It’s very easy to follow the instructor and see exactly what she’s doing unlike an in person class where your vision is obstructed by others. I plan on taking the Coral Reef class once I finish my DPD. Thanks Kathy for offering great classes!
