Kathy is a great instructor with lots of patience, I really appreciate her availability in between classes for help! (We “faced-timed” to troubleshoot when I got stuck!) She always had a fix when I messed up.

I have special needs children and really needed a 2-day respite, but the pace was faster than I expected, so I didn’t get much rest! The videos you shared ahead of the retreat were a life-saver! However, with that said, I did enjoy my time at the retreat. I appreciate how you were able to attend to everyone in the place they were as we got going. You were thorough in your explanations, which was great. And you shared some invaluable tips and tricks to surviving a “Judy project”. Meredith the other instructor from Yoder’s Department Store was a strong, stable persona in the room the entire time and that helped as well! I enjoyed getting to know you and the ladies in the group, which is rare for me as an extreme introvert! Thank you for the experience!

Join me in East Lansing, Michigan from August through November and create your own beautiful Dinner Plate Dahlia Quilt! Even beginners are finding success with this beautiful pattern — so join us and make one of these beautiful heirloom quilts of your own!
Class is 4 sessions — 2 days each session:
August 23 - 24 September 20 - 21 October 11 - 12 November 15 - 16
Space is limited so each student has plenty of workspace! Contact Country Stitches today to reserve your spot!! (AQS interfering? We’ll work with you!! You can still do this!!)

She was very patient, she didn’t ‘over-teach’. She’d let me try a new technique, but she would catch me before I made a serious mistake by asking me to explain what I was going to do next. This really helped me understand the process. She provided lots of little tips along the way… like how to remove the foundation paper without pulling out the stitches.

Bali Star Wedding Ring table topper – Finished!
I finally found all the pieces that were packed away when the hurricane tore the roof off of the sewing room. It got very wet and had a little color bleed- but, that’ll be part of the memory! Once the building rebuild is completed, (slow going due to COVID and wide spread damages supply and demand) I plan to make the king size quilt in same pattern.
