Excellent Class!

I have been using Quiltster for about 6 months, but I wanted to know more.   I was concerned about how Kathy was going to fill 3 hours on the use of the Quiltster app. Kathy was extremely organized and very

Patience for Poinsettias

Kathy was extremely patient with the class sponsored by our guild since so many of us were first time paper-piecers. She did a great job of going through all the steps so no one was lost. I signed up for

Create Your Quiltworx Star Quilt – ZOOM Course

July 19, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm CDT

$225.00

Are you ready to create your own custom heirloom Quiltworx quilt?  Choose from one of  three beautiful bedsized quilts!  These quilts can be made by anyone from confident beginners to experienced quilt makers!  They share many common components and techniques and they are all stellar quilts and they can all be easily taught in the same class! So you have your choice:

Amazon Star – 104″ x 104

Caribbean Starfish – 96″ x 96

Harboured Lighthouse 96 x 96 (Featured above)

The course fee includes a full Quiltworx pattern for your chosen pattern (a $99 value!)  including the written instructions, the papers for preparing your fabrics and all of the foundation and template papers you will need!  The course includes five class sessions including  an Introduction to Quiltworx Patterns and Projects overview and  four hands-on sessions where I will review pattern components for specific quilt units, demonstrate techniques used in those units and highlight any areas where you need to pay special attention!  Those who complete their components between classes will  begin the assembly of their quilt top in the final session. You’ll know everything you need to complete your quilt!  And I will continue to be available after the class concludes to ensure that you can finish your quilt top!

The Course Schedule

After the Introduction to Quiltworx Class on Sunday July 19, the remainder of the classes will meet on Saturday mornings during August and September.    Classes will be recorded and available for you after the live session should you miss a class or choose to review a technique.  The classes will be spread out to allow you time to cut your papers and fabric as well as do your paper piecing between classes.  You’ll get plenty of time to put our lessons into practice and incorporate the learning.   I will also be hosting regular “open sewing” Zoom sessions where you can drop in to share progress or get questions answered… or just to sew along with me.

Sunday afternoon (1:00 – 3:00 PM CST):   July 19 — Introduction to Quiltworx

Saturday morning (9:30 AM – 12:00 PM CST) August 1st — Class 2

Saturday morning (9:30 AM – 12:00 PM CST) August 15th — Class 3

Saturday morning (9:30 AM – 12:00 PM CST) August 22nd — Class 4

Saturday morning (9:30 AM – 12:00 PM CST)  September 26th — Class 5 – Begin Assembly

Don’t forget — my guarantee to you is that I will be available via email, phone or video chat until your top is complete!  If you get stuck or forget what you need to do — I’m here to support you and get you moving forward again.

Are you new to Zoom?  Zoom is free software that makes it easy to participate in our two way, online classes.  All you need is a smart phone, iPad, tablet, or a computer (PC or Mac),  and access to the Internet. (If you can stream Netflix you can Zoom!)  You don’t have to pack up your sewing machine or get in your car to take our classes.  And no masks required!  🙂   Participate  from your sewing room or your sun porch!   I’ll even host a special Zoom test session to let you test out your equipment and connection a few days before the classes start, so once we get going you can focus on quilting, not Zooming!

Class size is limited!  Purchase your ticket below today!
Note: Select your ticket for this course based on your pattern choice!
Remember, the pattern is included in price of the course.

A Special Option

Simplify your planning and fabric shopping  for this project.  Purchase our $25 Quiltster Consultation and I’ll help you visualize up to three options with your color choices and fabrics.  We can start with your stash or your favorite colors and fabrics.  The process  will generate a color print-out of your design and will give you a detailed shopping list for your favorite shop or  I can connect you with a Certified Quiltworx Shop who will use your customized Quiltster report to assemble your personalized fabric kit.   This Quiltster Consultation is a separate purchase from our store.  We will schedule a one hour appoint for your consultation ideally a month before Class 2.

(Quiltster consultations are available for a wide variety of  Quiltworx patterns you may be considering — not just for this class!  I’d love to help you make your vision come to life!)
