Patience for Poinsettias

Kathy was extremely patient with the class sponsored by our guild since so many of us were first time paper-piecers. She did a great job of going through all the steps so no one was lost. I signed up for

Great class, Can’t wait to take another!

She was very patient, she didn’t ‘over-teach’.  She’d let me try a new technique, but she would catch me before I made a serious mistake by asking me to explain what I was going to do next.   This really

Andromeda by Quiltworx – Zoom Class

August 8, 2023 @ 10:00 am - October 1, 2023 @ 12:30 pm CDT

$40.00 – $189.00

One of the newest patterns released by Quiltworx — the base quilt finishes at 68″ x 68″ — but can EASILY be enlarged to a Queen Size 99″ x 99″.  We’ll talk about those options in the first class  or you can email me at any time for more information.  This pattern IS available in Quiltster for your to design your own colorway — or purchase a Quiltster Consultation and I can help you put your fabrics/colors exactly where you want them!

The Zoom Class series will have 5 live sessions — each on Tuesday mornings — from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM Central.  That time doesn’t work for you — then just catch up with the recorded version.  With all of my Zoom classes — the recordings will remain accessible to you for at least 6 months (and usually much longer!)  And I’m there for you from start to your last stitch!  Whether it’s a quick email answer, a phone call or a 1-on-1 Zoom session — I’ll make sure you cross the finish line.

This pattern is appropriate for all quiltmakers — from confident beginners to seasoned quilters!  Let me share with you the many tips, tricks and techniques I’ve learned through my 20 years of quilt making and the over 100 Quiltworx quilts I’ve created!  I won’t let this project end up on your UFO pile!

Classes meet on Tuesdays, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM on Zoom (just like watching a YouTube video — except you can ask questions live!)  I’ve included lots of sewing time between the classes so you can make good progress between sessions.  Also included will be many hours of pre-recorded sessions to help fill-in-the-blanks with reading the pattern, understanding the papers, cutting and bagging your fabrics and more!  I also make available a number of specialized Technique videos so you can master those Quiltworx techniques!

Tuesday, August 8th — Intro to the pattern, papers, fabrics and the prep

Tuesday, August 29th — we’ll start sewing!  (we’ll start with the Checkerboard Diamond Units)

Tuesday,  September 12th  — more sewing — including curved piecing

Tuesday, September 26th — Stardust Border – including sewing veins

Tuesday,  October 31st – assembly

Class with pattern included:  $189.00

Class – instruction only:          $139.00

Fundamentally Wonderful!

The Fundamentals of Quilting was a wonderful class, lots of information and links to fully understand new techniques. I finished the class with three sample quilts and ready to tackle bigger projects. Kathy has a wealth of experience and willingly

Lots of Shortcuts…

I loved Kathy’s enthusiasm!. The class eval didn’t go high enough — it topped out at “Outstanding”. I learned lots of shortcuts. The class was challenging because I tend to be slower sewing in a group.
