For the first time in over 9 years I finally know what to do and how to read Quiltworx pattterns! I owe it all to Kathy Groves and her BobKat Quilts zoom classes. I love the fact that if I didn’t understand all the instructions the first time around I can always review the recorded zoom class. I really like your hybrid teaching concept with great in-person instruction, supplemented with videos shared before and available for review after the retreat. I think that is more of the way the future will look. Many traditional quilters like the in-person sessions, and I understand that. But those of us with jobs and kids and other responsibilities cannot afford to be away for long periods of time. While this was a table topper class, I did purchase a queen size pattern, so it was worth going thru the class versus doing something from videos only.

Quiltworx patterns are more than a little overwhelming when you first read the instructions. I was a little nervous thinking of tackling one on my own and came across your ZOOM class. You are a very good teacher… kind and patient. There are some areas of the Quiltworx instructions that are not as clear as I would have liked them to be (adding the veins, is one example.) Your class added the extra know-how for a successful project. Thank You!

I have a Masters degree along with my Nurse Practitioner and have taken many college courses as well as Continuing Medical Education over the years. I have been telling my husband (who is a pulmonologist) how much I have learned from you already (only a couple of classes into the course) and how much I have enjoyed your classes. He commented that I have appeared very interested and happy about learning each time I have taken your class in this series.
It is obvious that you have taught before. You have a lot of clarity and seem to anticipate your student’s needs. It is obvious that you want things to go well and are very patient. Your follow up videos help break things down and reinforce class learning.
