Never shy of a quilting challenge, I purchased a kit and began working on my first Judy Niemeyer quilt, Dinner Plate Dahlia. Everything went smoothly except for one small unit mid-pattern that I could not get my head around. While looking for help online, I discovered Kathy’s website and realized that she had pieced the cover photo for the Quiltworx pattern. I contacted Kathy and she responded quickly, setting me straight with just a few email messages. I am forever grateful for Kathy’s kindness and clear direction, and look forward to taking one of her online classes soon.

What a terrific project this Jungle Magnolia was to make. I’ve been quilting for over 30 years, but this is truly the most challenging quilt I’ve ever made. I couldn’t have done it without your help. I’m so happy with the result.
With your explanations and videos, I learned how to read, divide, and assemble a Quiltworx pattern. Thanks for that!
What I really appreciated about the videos was the clear structure, your personal explanations and countless tips and tricks. Even when something went wrong, you guided us through it… what a huge help.

Table Topper Finished! – King size planned!
Bali Star Wedding Ring table topper – Finished! I finally found all the pieces that were packed away when the hurricane tore the roof off of the sewing room. It got very wet and had a little color bleed- but,

Bali Star Wedding Ring table topper – Finished!
I finally found all the pieces that were packed away when the hurricane tore the roof off of the sewing room. It got very wet and had a little color bleed- but, that’ll be part of the memory!  Once the building rebuild is completed, (slow going due to COVID and wide spread damages supply and demand) I plan to make the king size quilt in same pattern.
Thank you Kathryn Eifert Groves of BobKat Quilts for the ZOOM class!! I didn’t have the knowledge until your class!!

The Zoom class was a great way to teach and the cameras were positioned to really see what she was teaching. The nice thing about the recorded classes is the ability to re-watch tricky areas of the sewing. It really gave me the confidence to venture ahead outside of class. I highly recommend this way of teaching! Kathy was exceptional to make sure no student was left behind 🙂
