We recently had our quilt guild show. My Carnival Flower took 2nd and Viewer’s Choice!
If it hadn’t been for the class I took with you, I wouldn’t have finished it nor would it have turned out as good as it did! There were so many little tips and tricks I picked up from your class that I feel made all the difference when it came to some of the trickier elements. I made sure to tell anyone who asked I took a class with you and that it was awesome :).

I had tried paper piecing before, but not in the depth of the Judy Niemeyer classes. I didn’t care for pp until I took this class. I love Judy’s patterns and have been trying to find an instructor nearby. When I found out about Kathy’s zoom class, I felt it was just “meant to be”. I have learned so much from this class and I even purchased another Judy kit. It was a lot of fun and Kathy gave us plenty of time to do our homework! If anyone has been putting off doing a Judy pattern, I strongly recommend taking a zoom class from Kathy.

She was very patient, she didn’t ‘over-teach’. She’d let me try a new technique, but she would catch me before I made a serious mistake by asking me to explain what I was going to do next. This really helped me understand the process. She provided lots of little tips along the way… like how to remove the foundation paper without pulling out the stitches.

Never shy of a quilting challenge, I purchased a kit and began working on my first Judy Niemeyer quilt, Dinner Plate Dahlia. Everything went smoothly except for one small unit mid-pattern that I could not get my head around. While looking for help online, I discovered Kathy’s website and realized that she had pieced the cover photo for the Quiltworx pattern. I contacted Kathy and she responded quickly, setting me straight with just a few email messages. I am forever grateful for Kathy’s kindness and clear direction, and look forward to taking one of her online classes soon.
