Beautiful Tea Time Placemats

Enjoyed this Zoom class sponsored by my guild.  Kathy made me feel at home with my skill level. She gave great tips and was eager for all of us to have completed  projects.  She did not leave us hanging –

Sulky Village – Paper Pieced Wall Quilt – Zoom Class

February 8, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am CST

$99.00

Join me and learn the process for intricate paper piecing.  This is NOT a Quiltworx pattern.  It is a free pattern from Sulky International.  Class fee is for INSTRUCTION ONLY and the support information I will prepare for you.

This fun quilt will require you to raid your scraps!  Make your village in Brights, Christmas Fabrics, Reproduction Fabrics, Tula or Kaffe or whatever you can imagine.  Each month you will receive the information you need to tackle 1 or 2 new blocks — so that by the last class — you’ll be ready to put your parts together.

Quilt finishes at 33″ x 40″ — but you can make more houses, add borders… and just go wild to make your quilt the size you wish!  Each block is made up of several individual paper pieced components.  Make the components and then join them together to create your building.  Some buildings have nearly 100 patches — and the “block” is only 7″ x 9″ for example!

We will not be doing a lot of sewing in class after our first class — but I will introduce each building.  We’ll talk about colors and fabric placement.  We’ll discuss the techniques for paper piecing itty-bitty little pieces of fabric.  I’ll be ready to answer all of your questions.

Class meeting dates are the 2nd Tuesdays of the month.  All classes will be recorded — so if that time doesn’t work for you — just watch at your convenience.  And as always — when you take a class with me — my help is there until your top is completed!

Tuesday, February 8: – 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM (Intro – How to’s:  organizing, technique options, and more )

Tuesday, March 8:  –  10:00AM – 11:30 AM  Block #1 — and Paper Piecing Basics

Tuesday, April 12:   –  10:00 AM – 11:30 AM   Blocks 2 & 3

Tuesday, May 10:  –    10:00 AM – 11:30 AM  Blocks 4 & 5

Tuesday, June 14:  –   10:00 AM – 11:30 AM   – Blocks 6 & 7

Tuesday, July 12:  –  10:00 AM – 11:30 AM  – Blocks 8, 9 and 10

Tuesday, August 9:  –  10:00 AM – 11:30 AM  – Assembly & Finishing

Pattern can be downloaded free at:  https://sulky-shop.de/SULKY-Village-BOM-2004/A-100003 – but is written in German with measurements in cm’s instead of inches!  I’ll be translating the information to English for you –  and have all  you need to successfully create each block and your quilt.  ( Once registered — if you need help acquiring the pattern, I can help.)  I’ll be creating coloring diagrams for you — so you can easily design your blocks fully before sewing them.   $99 per person will get you help from start to finish!

Supply and fabric information will be available early January 2022. (Although this is truly a great scrap bin projects for much of the piecing of the trees and buildings, etc.)

Great Experience

I did the Harboured Lighthouse quilt as a zoom class with Kathy. It was easy to follow along during the class. If I missed anything or wanted to recheck part it’s easy to watch the class again. Kathy is always
