I loved the class. I learned not to be so awed at the idea of the complex process and the many components to this quilt. Kathy taught us to be methodical and follow the provided instructions. Kathy worked with us every step of the way and stepped in when we made mistakes. While I previously felt overwhelmed by this pattern, every step was broken down and there was success at each step along the way.
I had a fantastic two days. I would take another class from Kathy without a moment’s hesitation!

I enjoyed the class today even though I wasn’t doing the actual Judy Niemeyer quilt that was being taught. My feedback is that I would like to have seen a little more of the actual stitching, especially doing the inside & outside points. I did have some interruptions on my side when you was talking about the threads to use & I’ll go back and watch that (the advantage of sharing the class recordings!) I did enjoy seeing the needle books, I will have to do that also.

I was nervous
I was nervous before I started the Fractured Star quilt class. Kathy made made it easy! I loved the step by step instructions. Maybe the Vintage Rose is next!

All I can say, if you have the chance to see Kathy’s trunk show- you must! Her personality shines through and is only embellished by her quilting talent. I enjoyed my quilt club’s 3 session zoom class. Zoom is a good way to give quilters continued access to classes during a time of social distancing, and the pattern Kathy chose for our group was the perfect one for a Judy Neimeyer Zoom class. Kathy was well prepared and very helpful throughout the class. She knows JN pattern construction very well and also provided many useful quilting tips I can use on other projects.
