I am really glad that I got an opportunity to take the Summer Solstice class with Kathy. I have always admired Judy Niemeyer designs but got discouraged when I saw how many pages there were to the instructions for a single quilt.
Kathy was great at taking it in segments and working through the process to make it not seem like such a huge mountain to climb. She incorporates some of her own ideas/techniques that make the process even easier.
You won’t regret taking a class with her!

I wish I could give you 6 stars! I just received my Christmas Dresden Neighborhood kit and am thrilled with it. You’ve taken the time to carefully put together and label everything I will need to complete this project along with some very helpful tips about applique and final placement onto the background. Thank you, Kathy! I cannot wait to get started on this!

Kathy Groves did an exceptional job teaching me how to do paper piecing. Kathy broke down the process so i could understand the steps, was incredibly patient during the workshop, plus she offered videos of the process. I’ve been visiting my family since the workshop and am looking forward to finishing my poinsettia table topper when I get home. I had tried this twice process before and never finished my project because I was intimidated by the process and couldn’t remember any of the steps. The only suggestion I have is to add a powerpoint with the steps of the process to the lecture. Only four slides are needed. Show all the pieces cut out. Show organizing into bags. Show lining the pieces up, then show steps on the bookmark. You explained it all in the class so well, but as a novice i would have liked to see the method as part of the lecture.
