I really like your hybrid teaching concept with great in-person instruction, supplemented with videos shared before and available for review after the retreat. I think that is more of the way the future will look. Many traditional quilters like the in-person sessions, and I understand that. But those of us with jobs and kids and other responsibilities cannot afford to be away for long periods of time. While this was a table topper class, I did purchase a queen size pattern, so it was worth going thru the class versus doing something from videos only.

I found her group instructions to be helpful and appreciated individual follow up after the demonstration. She was also quick answer individual questions and requests for help with problems. What a relief it was to have Judy recommend Kathy Groves’ Bali Wedding star quilt class. I have been quilting since 2016 and have taken one other Judy N class. I just love Kathy’s classes as she is well organized and teaches to each participant’s skill level. Although I was working on a King size wedding quilt instead of the table topper, Kathy took the extra time to walk me through the process, double check my piecing and cutting math and generally just give me the support I needed to finish this quilt. I will definitely be taking another class with her. The advantage of zoom classes is being able to see her work close up and clearly, which is something I always missed with in person classes. Hopefully soon we will be able to have in person classes and I look forward to meeting her in person. She is just outstanding.

The Fundamentals of Quilting was a wonderful class, lots of information and links to fully understand new techniques. I finished the class with three sample quilts and ready to tackle bigger projects. Kathy has a wealth of experience and willingly shares, answered questions and helped everyone be successful. Most classes went over in time. Make sure you budget time to practice between sessions — She’ll give you instant feedback!
I would definitely take another course through zoom, as I still have so much to learn.
