I just attended a fabulous Quiltster Zoom Class with Kathy of BobKat Quilts. I had no idea how much you can do with Quiltster. It was a full 4 hour class with hands on training.
Kathy explained the software so clearly. I had just signed up for Quiltster and had not used it before. I like the zoom format because now I can go back to the recording and review at my own pace. I am looking forward to coloring some quilts!
If you want to learn more about Quiltster, I highly recommend this class!

I was all cut out for Friday’s class and it was because your video on cutting was PERFECT. For me, it was just the right mix of show and teachI can’t wait til next class. I loved taking this class with Kathy. Having the ability to go back over the videos when I got stuck made it totally worth while. She shared so much information I was overwhelmed by the value from this class! Not just the three class sessions, but additional videos on specific skills and the PowerPoint slides — it was well worth the cost. I love her down to earth folksy names for various things like “the fluffy side” , “feet in the aisle”, “smiles and frowns”. Having the three class dates over six weeks was the perfect pace for me. It gave me enough time to keep going and I was able to complete the top two days after the last class. I will definitely be taking more of Kathy’s classes in the future!

She gave some very helpful tips to make our quilts beautiful, as well as helping me to color it on Quiltworx. Kathy sent an instructional video – Quiltworx 101 – prior to the workshop. It was a great preview of how to read and use the Quiltworx patterns. It would have been helpful to get the video farther in advance.

Kathy Groves did an exceptional job teaching me how to do paper piecing. Kathy broke down the process so i could understand the steps, was incredibly patient during the workshop, plus she offered videos of the process. I’ve been visiting my family since the workshop and am looking forward to finishing my poinsettia table topper when I get home. I had tried this twice process before and never finished my project because I was intimidated by the process and couldn’t remember any of the steps. The only suggestion I have is to add a powerpoint with the steps of the process to the lecture. Only four slides are needed. Show all the pieces cut out. Show organizing into bags. Show lining the pieces up, then show steps on the bookmark. You explained it all in the class so well, but as a novice i would have liked to see the method as part of the lecture.
