Just wanted to post a little note. I am very new to sewing and especially quilting. My friend, who lives in Indiana, asked me if I wanted to take a quilting class with her. So I did. Kathy was beyond fantastic. She is a true instructor who understands how not to overwhelm students who are trying to learn a new skill set. It was super fun, relaxing and I learned a lot. There were some very experienced quilters in the class who also learned a lot. Going again next year (2024) to Shipshewana! Thanks for a fun week.

Love the Flexibility of Zoom Classes

I can’t truly say I’m “bummed” about missing her next one because I’m going to Quiltworx (!!!) in October, but if it weren’t for that I’d be doing everything I could to be here. But that just means my seat is open for someone else! This retreat WILL fill up! If you have the time, you should be here — The value is phenomenal.

I purchased a Dinner Plate Dahlia quilt kit awhile back and I realized had no idea how to make that quilt. Then I found Kathy’s zoom class. I was so glad I took her class. She’s an excellent instructor. Very patient and does her best to make sure all students are following along. She’s very responsive to questions. The zoom platform is really much better than an in person class. It’s very easy to follow the instructor and see exactly what she’s doing unlike an in person class where your vision is obstructed by others. I plan on taking the Coral Reef class once I finish my DPD. Thanks Kathy for offering great classes!
