This was a great experience. I would never have had the nerve to try this on my own. When I first opened the pattern I almost said no way. The only thing that kept me from backing out was knowing we had a certified teacher. The best part for me was being able to watch the videos multiple times to be able to figure out what to do. As the point person for this group training, I can’t thank Kathy enough for all of the back and forth emails answering all of my questions.

I took a zoom class for my Dinner Plate Dahlia from BobKat Quilts, It was a great series of classes. Kathy is a wonderful instructor who is always there for you. In addition to the interactive classes, the instructional videos online are so detailed and you can watch them over and over. I highly recommend her classes.

I was thrilled when I found this class for the Twinkle Star. I wanted to be introduced to Judy Niemeyer paper piecing and this was the perfect way to do it. I thought I was going to have to do it on my own, purchased a Twinkle Star quilt kit over a year ago and hadn’t gotten to it. I will hopefully have time in the future to take more classes! Hi,
Just wanted to post a little note. I am very new to sewing and especially quilting. My friend, who lives in Indiana, asked me if I wanted to take a quilting class with her. So I did. Kathy was beyond fantastic. She is a true instructor who understands how not to overwhelm students who are trying to learn a new skill set. It was super fun, relaxing and I learned a lot. There were some very experienced quilters in the class who also learned a lot. I’ve already decided that I’m going to Shipshewana again next year (2025)!
