Instruction\, great work space\, meals and lodging are included in your registration.  We’ll provide continental breakfast and catered lunch and dinner each day.   Your accommodations include your choice of single queen or double queen bedrooms. More about our venue below. \nIn order to give you the most flexibility\, your registration does NOT include the Arcadia pattern\, or any fabric.  We’ll be happy to provide you with a pattern and any extensions at a discount.   We will help you design your own colorway on Quiltster and you can source your fabrics on your own or we can provide you with a great fabric kit.  Stay tuned for more details!   Fabric strip cuts and trimming of foundation papers are available for an additional charge.  Of course you’re welcome to bring your own pattern and fabrics sourced elsewhere.   If you want to work on another pattern\,  including other Technique-of-the-Month patterns with Certified Instructors at hand\, you’re welcome to do that too!  For those who have paid their registration\, kits and patterns in full\, we will ship your purchased items as soon as they are available to us. When John Myers died\, it passed in rapid succession through the hands of Robert A. Myers\, Douglas McKenzie\, and D.C. Summers. Summers installed a crossroads store and secured a post office under the name of Summers Mill. \nAt one time this fledgling community had about 50 residents including three churches\, and a 70 acre pecan grove. The property became a Bell County showplace\, where they hosted many picnics\, camp meetings\, baptisms\, family reunions\, and gatherings of people from all around the Central Texas area. Later\, a school house\, community center\, blacksmith\, and a doctor’s office was built.  In 1987 Paul and Jane Meyer bought Summers Mill and turned part of the property into the Chisolm Trail Ostrich Farm.  About 20 years ago the Meyers turned Summers Mill into a Christian Retreat and Conference Center\, as it functions today.  The complex has more than 20 buildings in a park-like setting. Many groups return to Summers Mills annually for their retreats and conferences.
