Just finished up Kathy’s Zoom class for the Poinsettia Table Topper. I cannot express how happy I am, not only with the class experience for my first Judy project, but with my project overall. Kathy explains very well on how to do each piece. She is very patient and answers… everyone’s questions until they get it. Bali Star Wedding Ring table topper – Finished!
I finally found all the pieces that were packed away when the hurricane tore the roof off of the sewing room. It got very wet and had a little color bleed- but, that’ll be part of the memory!
… width=”16″ height=”16″ /> Once the building rebuild is completed, (slow going due to COVID and wide spread damages supply and demand) I plan to make the king size quilt in same pattern. She was very patient, she didn’t ‘over-teach’. She’d let me try a new technique, but she would catch me before I made a serious mistake by asking me to explain what I was going to do next. This really helped me understand the process. She provided lots of… little tips along the way… like how to remove the foundation paper without pulling out the stitches. Quiltworx patterns are more than a little overwhelming when you first read the instructions. I was a little nervous thinking of tackling one on my own and came across your ZOOM class. You are a very good teacher… kind and patient. There are some areas of the Quiltworx instructions that… are not as clear as I would have liked them to be (adding the veins, is one example.) Your class added the extra know-how for a successful project. Thank You! Read more “Successful Finish!” She is a great teacher. She’s very knowledgeable. I’d love to take another class by Kathy. Kathy was very helpful during Qultworx University. She provided helpful tips and shortcuts, written cue cards.
