DESCRIPTION:Looking for our 2025 On Demand Class?   – Click here!  \nFrom total beginners to those who want to sharpen their skills or learn new techniques\, this is the perfect class for you! I guarantee that you will learn many tips and techniques that will improve your overall quilt making skillset and help advance your quilt making to the next level.  (Work totally by hand… or use your sewing machine!  Your choice!!!)\nCreate a 6 block Sampler Lap Quilt and learn all of this in the process: \n\nColor basics and fabric selection\nIntroduction to the tools used in quilt-making\nProper rotary cutting techniques\nFussy Cutting & Template Cutting\nPiecing techniques\n\nHalf Square Triangles\nQuarter Square Triangle\nMatching points\n\n\nCurved Piecing\nFoundation – Paper Piecing\nMachine appliqué\nY seams\nPartial Seams\nComplex Centers (8-pointed star)\nSashing and cornerstones\nBorders\nBinding (from creating it to attaching it to stitching it down!)\n\nSix classes will meet once a week for 6 weeks in the evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 CST.\nJuly 7 –   Session 1:  Introduction (supplies\, rotary cutting)\,  color/fabric choices and general questions \nJuly 14 – Session 2:  Basic Piecing  including – HST\, QST and how to match those points \nJuly 21 – Session 3:  Paper piecing and Partial Seams \nJuly 28 – Session 4:  Appliqué  and curved piecing \nAug 4 –    Session 5:   Y Seams\, Mitered Corners and Complex Centers \nAug 11 –   Session 6:  Sashing\,  Standard Borders and Binding \nClass sessions will be recorded so that students can review the classes at their leisure if they find it necessary.  Each week you will have both a sewing homework assignment and a cutting / prep assignment for the next session – but just for a single block so the time required should be manageable.  Weekly instructions and patterns will be emailed so you can print them as you prepare for each class.   I will also host “open sewing sessions” where you can log into ZOOM for additional support.  Supply list and additional materials provided upon registration. \nAll BobKat Quilts classes include our no fail guarantee:  I will be available to you for questions and support until your quilt top is done!  Email\, phone calls\, face time\, Zoom…  I’m here to answer questions\, fix problems and help you finish your project! \nClass fee is $99 and includes all PDF instructions\, block patterns and finishing instructions.  Classes will be held on the ZOOM platform.  Email me at kathy@bobkatquilts.com if you have questions! \nPurchase your ticket below\n\nAre you new to Zoom?  Zoom is free software that makes it easy to participate in our two way\, online classes.  All you need is a smart phone\, iPad\, tablet\, or a computer (PC or Mac)\,  and access to the internet.
